Photographer's Playground

MARCH 23, 2024 - VIDEO

Video, the third in the Photographer’s Playground series of 2024 explored the world of video. MVPC members learned the basics of using their cameras for videography.

As Don T. has never done videography before, Mark Nauman volunteered to be the guest presenter. Thanks, Mark!

Photographer’s Playground mini-workshops are free events. See what is coming up in the Photographer’s Playground and join us in one of these events to learn more about us, Don and our club.

The video capability of our modern DSLR and mirrorless cameras is something that many of us have not pursued.

A few years ago, Mark Nauman took several months off to attend the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. In an effort to acquaint us with the capabilities of our cameras, Mark shared some of his skill and experience with us that he had learned in the school. We were all quite impressed with the class project videos that he made. One in particular is used by the National Forest Service at the Lolo Pass Visitor Center.

With the recommendations and suggested settings that Mark provided us we all are now better prepared to go off on our own and experiment with the video capabilities of our Camera – Al Kiecker
